Notes from a Fundraiser

Cory Riffer is one of the SOS Children’s Villages’ dedicated fundraisers, helping us raise the money necessary to design and implement the many campaigns we run dedicated to bettering the lives of orphaned and abandoned children. He’s sent us a blog post discussing why he chose to raise money for SOS. Thanks, Cory!

“My life is happier because of SOS Children’s Villages. I am blessed with the opportunity to fundraise for this charity. It has been such a gratifying experience on a personal and professional level.

The professional growth has been great for a variety of reasons. I get to market the wonderful family and educational values that SOS promotes in all 132 countries that we have villages. The chance to get to speak passionately and educate others about the outstanding work SOS has been a part of for almost sixty years is exciting and motivating.

I also love on a personal level helping orphan children have an opportunity to live a fulfilling life most likely not possible without the efforts of SOS. This is an amazing charity and I am honored to be part of such a noble cause. My experience has led me to earnestly hope for another sixty years of SOS giving hope to children who have lost everything. Thank you for the opportunity.”
