“Where are your shoes? Go back and get your shoes on,” Nathalie Nozile tells a young boy who is playing in the grass without sandals. She remembers from her own childhood in Haiti how her SOS mother would never allow a child to walk the village’s paths barefoot.
Nathalie Nozile is back in SOS Children’s Village – Santo on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince, the home where she grew up. She really should be studying, with her graduation from the University of Florida only a few months away.
