A full year after the devastating earthquake, SOS Children’s Villages oversees the distribution of food to thousands of children in Haiti. What was originally expected to be a temporary aid program continues to feed 14,000 children every day. During the busiest times, around 24,000 children benefited daily all over the country.
“We are working with some families to strengthen them [so that they are] able to manage their life and to produce what they need to survive because the reality on the ground is really very, very difficult,” Dionisio Pereira, Director of the SOS Emergency Program in Haiti, said.
SOS Children’s Villages is continuing its efforts to provide food and family strengthening programs to as many Haitian families in need as possible. Find out how you can support SOS Children’s Villages at www.sos-usa.org.
